High Hampton Resort
Earlier this fall I was able to finally check out High Hampton Resort, located in Cashiers, North Carolina. I have previously been to Highlands, which is just 20 - 30 minutes from Cashiers, but this was my first time visiting High Hampton.
High Hampton Resort is a 1,400-acre historic mountain retreat, blending preserved 1920s charm with a refined, modern refresh by the renown team behind Blackberry Farm. The bark-clad Inn, cottages, and spacious homes offer a rustic-luxury aesthetic that feels authentic to the Blue Ridge setting, paired with seasonal, locally inspired dining.
Guests are able to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, including a Tom Fazio–designed golf course, water sports on Hampton Lake, private hiking trails, tennis, lawn games, and a full wellness and fitness program. The resort’s signature red rocking chairs add to its laid-back, heritage-driven appeal.
High Hampton Resort is an excellent fit for multigenerational families, couples, and clients seeking an understated yet elevated mountain escape—perfect for those who value privacy, nature, and a strong sense of place.
Nearby, there are local dining and shopping options in Cashiers and Highlands. While High Hampton Resort doesn’t currently have a spa, I recommend booking treatments at Old Edwards Inn, another personal favorite, which is located in downtown Highlands. If golf is of interest, there are many courses in the area. Hiking and visiting waterfalls are other popular activities.

My favorite part of my stay? Our room was incredibly comfortable and each meal topped the previous one. Our two dinners were amazing, and I am still dreaming about the pasta I had one evening! I would love to go back as a family during the summer months!
