Keswick Hall

My final trip for 2025 was a quick babymoon with my husband to visit Keswick Hall, located near Charlottesville, Virginia. This destination resort has been on my radar for a while so I was excited to make the trip to check it out. It’s roughly 5 hours from Charlotte and was one of my last resorts within driving distance to visit.

Keswick Hall is a refined, countryside retreat offering an elegant blend of heritage charm and contemporary luxury. Following a multi-year, top-to-bottom restoration, the property feels both timeless and fresh—think warm residential design, lush grounds, and impeccable service that feels genuinely personal.

The resort’s 80 rooms and suites are spacious and beautifully appointed, many with private terraces and Blue Ridge Mountain views. Amenities are a standout: guests can enjoy the internationally acclaimed Full Cry Golf Course designed by Pete Dye, a stunning adults-only infinity pool, tennis and pickleball, and a serene spa experience. The culinary program is exceptional as well—Marigold by Jean-Georges is a destination in itself, with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

The resort works beautifully for couples, food and wine travelers, and anyone pairing a stay with nearby activities like vineyard visits, historic tours, or outdoor adventures. It’s an ideal option for clients seeking a sophisticated yet relaxed escape with the high-touch service and elevated details that define true luxury hospitality.

I personally loved visiting the spa (for a fantastic prenatal massage!), dining at Marigold, and venturing out in the complimentary BMW’s to explore the local area. The service was top notch and I hope to return in the future!

Over the past few years I’ve made an effort to visit luxury properties within driving distance of Charlotte. As my family has grown, shorter trips with my husband have become what works for us. I’ve been lucky enough to have now visited:
